In pictures: London landmarks turn the lights out to remember the heroes of WWI

Did you switch off? It’s been 100 years since Britain entered World War I, and to mark the occasion London’s iconic buildings led the way in an hour-long blackout to remember the fallen heroes of the Great War. ‘The Big Picture‘ marked the occasion by projecting a massive candle onto the side of Battersea Power Station which was later replaced by shocking stats about the War.
