That’s right people, among the swarms of 30-year-olds still living at their parents’ houses and underpaid interns relying on London’s free events to retain some form of social life, there’s a good chunk of Londoners who can actually afford to live here. According to the folk at New World Wealth, there are more millionaires in London than anywhere else on the planet including highflying NYC, celeb hangout LA and business hub Tokyo.
A whopping three percent of London’s population has assets of more than $1 million. As a percentage, it doesn’t sound too impressive but when you work it out, that’s around 395,000 people!
London doesn’t do too badly on the highest number of multi-millionaires list either. Coming third behind Hong Kong and New York, London rocks up with 9,700 people possessing a minimum of £6 million assets.
Apparently, in total, the combined wealth of London’s richest adds up to about £763 billion. Jeez, guess there may be competition for the most expensive flat share ever advertised on Spareroom after all.
So if you’re looking for a sugar daddy/momma then you are most definitely in the right place. To give you a gentle nudge in the right direction, here’s a list of potential future fiancees:
