Sea Life London Aquarium CLAWS exhibition

Head to Sea Life London Aquarium this week and you’ll catch a glimpse of more than just fish. From today (August 19) until August 25, the aquarium’s exhibiting 11 miniature model people.

The people sit in the museum’s CLAWS crab exhibition and were hand-made by Essex-based artist Roy. Arranged into three quirky scenes, they appear to scream and run as they’re approached by crustaceans in scenes inspired by horror and alien films.

‘The Sea Life London Aquarium’s crab area CLAWS is B-movie themed, so when they came to me with the idea I could immediately see the kind of scenes that would work perfectly with these alien-like creatures,’ says Roy.

‘The end result is a mixture of people’s curiosity, like the family peeking at a giant Japanese spider crab, and fear, like the group running from a giant but harmless hermit crab.’

London Aquarium ticket prices start from £18.36 per adult and £13.52 per child.
