Oh dear. New app promises to find you a bar that’s still serving

It’s a too-familiar tale. The pubs have closed and once again you’re meandering through the streets with your buddies looking for that mythical bar that never closes. Only this time there’s no need to admit defeat and go back to that Spanish place with the awful music (you know the one), for help is at hand.
Step forward Nightcapp, a new app for your smartphone (assuming you haven’t lost it earlier on in the night) that points you in the direction of your nearest late-night boozer.

Simple enough for even the most pitiful gin-soaked wretch to navigate, Nightcapp’s interface shows a map of your locality with markers indicating which bars are nearby. If the marker is green the bar is open for a while, if the marker is orange the bar is closing within the hour. It’s as beautifully, dangerously simple as that.

Best of all, it’s free on the AppStore and Google Play. Uh oh…

While the night is still young, check out Time Out’s top 100 bars and pubs.
