Bank holidays apparently stem from MP and banker Sir John Lubbock wanting time off to watch local cricket matches, thus introducing the Bank Holidays Act of 1871. But hey, you don’t care about that, right? You just want an extra recovery day after a three-day bender, don’t you? It’s okay, we won’t judge you. We’ll even help you along the way by pointing you towards the finest nights from the wealth of parties taking place over this glorious three-day weekend. Thanks, the Right Honourable John. That next dancefloor banger goes out to you.
