On what would have been Amy Winehouse’s thirty-first birthday, this September a permanent bronze statue of her will be unveiled in Camden Town. Here’s a sneaky peek of what it will look like:
The statue, designed and sculpted by Scott Eaton depicts Amy in her heyday, complete with iconic beehive and rockabilly style. It’s been funded by Amy’s family and camdenmarket.com, and will be unveiled on September 14. Initially the plan was for the memorial to be situated in Camden’s Roundhouse, but to make it accessible to her adoring fans, they’ve moved it so she’ll reside in the Stables Market
