Frankie Boyle

Back in 2009, then ‘Mock the Week’ star Frankie Boyle announced that he was going to quit stand-up, saying that after reaching the age of 40 ‘very few comedians are very good’. Well, he hasn’t quit. In fact, he’s testing some new jokes at the tiny Hen and Chickens Theatre (capacity 54!) this week and next, with all the proceeds going to charity Reprieve.

Tickets for each of the four gigs go on sale at 11am the day before each show (so, Wednesday’s gig is on sale at 11am tomorrow), meaning you have four chances to get your hand on some tickets.

Now 42, is Boyle one of the ‘very few’ comedians his age that are any good? If you go along, do let us know.

Find out more about and buy tickets at 11am tomorrow for Frankie Boyle’s Work in Progress shows.
