If you’d told us six months ago that Lindsay Lohan would soon be making her stage debut in London, we would have laughed at you for approximately six months.
We may however have broken off from our laughter about three months ago, when LiLo was indeed confirmed as the co-star of a West End revival of David Mamet’s ‘Speed-the-Plow’. Nonethless, we still wouldn’t give great odds of the notoriously unreliable Hollywood wild child coming up with the goods.
And if you tell us now, that tonight, this week’s Time Out cover star Lindsay Lohan will be stepping onto the stage for the first time at 7.30pm sharp at the Palace Theatre then, er, well we really won’t believe it till we see it. But it does look increasingly likely, meaning that we can soon turn our attention from the question ‘will she turn up?’ to the lesser question ‘can she act?’
The press night is next Thursday, meaning you can get our thoughts on the subject next Friday morning.
In the meantime, enjoy this week’s cover interview where LiLo confirms she’s ‘not just a psycho who goes out and stuff’ and that she’d like to do a ‘Mean Girls’ sequel with Tina Fey.
‘Speed-the-Plow’ is at the Palace Theatre from tonight until November 29.
