Today it’s National Poetry Day,
So TfL staff have come up with a way,
Of celebrating, that sounds like a hoot!
They’ll read us poetry on our daily commute.
Poems will be broadcast from 10 until 10,
Read as proud and powerful as the chimes of Big Ben,
The theme of the day is a poignant ‘Remember’,
Featuring poems to mark Remembrance Day in November.
It’s the centenary of the First World War outbreak,
So there’ll be copies of the poems for you to take.
If you want to hear the staff with their rhymes and quotations,
Get yourself along to Oval or Covent Garden stations.

If this poem is crap and the message isn’t clear, click the link and get more info here.
