Need a no-strings hug? There’s an app for that

‘Come back to mine for a cuddle?’ Once a sleazy proposition to be heard on a Saturday night bus journey, now the start of new friendships – thanks to Cuddlr. The platonic sister app to saucy Tinder and Grindr aims to help lonesome city dwellers find pals to snuggle with (hair-stroking and hand-holding are also acceptable, apparently). You just log in, choose the least scary-looking person and organise to meet for a hug. Adorable concept or a little bit creepy? The jury’s out. But we can’t help wondering: do any Londoners ever really want to touch a stranger for fun if it’s not for ‘fun’?

Want something more, errr, intense? Check out 3nder (aka the threesome app!). For a (possibly less creepy) app, take a look at the app promises to find you a bar that’s still serving.
