It doesn’t take an A-grade genius to predict the outcome of a study into whether people read terms and conditions. But that didn’t stop the Cyber Security Research Institute from setting up free wifi hotspots in London to see if people would agree to terms and conditions that included giving away their first-born child. Obviously, everyone was more than happy to sign away future offspring in exchange for a few minutes of free internet access. Better read those Ts & Cs if you don’t want to give up your kids or – worse – get a free U2 album.
