The results are in for the World’s 50 Best Bars Awards 2014, and a London bar has come out on top! That’s right, London is officially home to the world’s best bar. Can you guess which one it is…? (Stop peeking at that tiny writing on the award).
It’s a actually the third time Artesian has won the award, and this year it also won the Polignac Best Bar in Europe Award. Second prize went to The Dead Rabbit Grocery & Grog in New York – here’s a picture of them looking a bit gutted that Artesian beat them (just kidding, well done guys).
Other London bars to feature in the list are Nightjar, which rocked up at number three, American Bar at The Savoy made it to number eight, Connaught Bar number 11, Happiness Forgets came in at number 12, 69 Colebrooke Row number 23, White Lyan number 20, and Callooh Callay just made it on the list at number 49.
Over 300 industry figures from around the globe voted for their favourite bar. With eight bars in the top 50, London is the city with the most bars on the list, although the USA has the most entries of any country.
