Sink The Pink Presents: BIG, Bethnal Green Working Men’s Club
Top-notch polysexual dance arty-party extravaganza Sink The Pink returns for another big night of fabulously silly fun, drag, disco and glitter. Like, so much glitter. For this special edition the crew are aking punters to think BIG, in every possible (and preferably filthy) sense. Joan Oh, Amy Zing, JVP, Pom Pom and The Lovely Jonjo provide a mix of performance, DJing and general mischief. Go and big it up.
There are few bad moods that can’t be lifted by blasting out a few tracks by party-loving tech-hop madmen Modselektor. Their brand of colourful-but-heavy techno riffing is huge enough to satisfy the most ravenous of rave appetites, but bouncy enough to keep a smile on your face whilst doing so. At this ‘Modeselektion’ all-nighter, put together by the duo and top London party-starters Dollop, they’re joined by acclaimed Los Angeles beat-warper Nosaj Thing, bassy house master L-Vis 1990, as well as Schlachthofbronx, Robot Koch and more names still under wraps. Essential party scenes.
Shiftless Shuffle, Trapeze
Host Perry Louis schools you in street-fusion jazz moves in a dance class at 2pm, before an explosive session of bebop, fusion, Latin and Afro kicks off at 3pm. Guest DJs then join the party to drop jazz dance classics and other funky numbers for you to practice your grooves. DJ Harv (pictured) from Honest Jon’s Records and Bob Jones will be spinning the irresistible grooves.
