There’s a lot to talk about at the moment and this annual festival of public debate, now in its tenth year, is a forum for the discussion of important issues. The weekend’s line-up of 350 speakers includes the Barbican’s managing director Nicholas Kenyon, finance journalist Daniel Ben-Ami, former cabinet minister David Mellor and Swedish psychiatrist Dr David Eberhard. ‘Should We Fear Democracy?’, ‘Big Data: Big Danger?’ and ‘Ukraine: Cold War Rebooted?’ are just some of the questions to be addressed in the 80 sessions scheduled. Between debates try to learn Latin in 30 minutes, join a classical music jam or simply spark your own conversations at the evening drinks receptions.
