Wondering what to look forward to this November? Our mates at LondOntheinside have got a few ideas for you…
‘First came The Diner, then Stokey Bears and now Lucky Chip is open in Dalston. The burger van will be parked up in Abbot Street car park but with plans to go permanent you can expect a pretty plush setting. What’s more we hear there’s 300 free burgers up for grabs on Nov 7. Good luck getting one…’ Dalston, open now.
Snaps & Rye
‘We’re huge fans of Danish grub which is why we’ll be first in queue at Snaps & Rye, to sample their ‘smørrebrød’ – that’s open sarnie to you and me. Expect meatballs, the national dish of the Danes and apple cake…and that’s without even mentioning the cocktails featuring house-infused snaps and chocolate milk.’ Golborne Road, Nov 4.
‘One of our favourite street food markets is making a comeback this winter and we hear it’s better than ever before. This time it’s on the site of Red Market and will feature banging food (we’re looking at you Patty & Bun), cocktails, music and VIBES. We’ll have some of that!’ Shoreditch, Nov 7.
‘It just takes the warping shimmer of guitar, hypnotic fuzzy vocals and a crunchy tone and we’re hooked. In fact we have been since their debut dropped earlier this year. Thats why seeing a band of this nature, a band who are pushing the boundaries of modern guitar music is such an exciting prospect. Prepare to be blown into a million different pieces.’ The Lexington, Nov 20.
‘A festival dedicated to Tequila and Mezcal…what could go wrong? Oh yes, we’ll be heading here to check out the cocktails, shots, food, mentalness and what the Mexican’s call ‘Real Tequila’. Best book that Monday off work then…’ Tower Bridge, Nov 22-23.
