Ever wondered if LSD could be used to treat mental illness? Or if fish can become drug addicts? The scientists working with Art Neuro have and they’ve teamed up with a group of artists to creatively communicate their findings in the form of a new art exhibition opening today.

After four months of graft, Art Neuro (the people who gave us synaesthesia cocktails) are ready to reveal the 16 original artworks, which will be on display until November 9 at the Rag Factory off Brick Lane.

There will be a various interactive events and workshops, a modern take on Hogarth’s Gin Lane exploring addiction, interactive optical illusions, ceramics magnifying the molecules responsible for Alzheimer’s disease, paintings that make you question your object-recognition abilities and a cartoon of the life of a laboratory bumblebee.

If you fancy learning about the brain through art, find out more information at artneuro.co.uk or follow @art_neuro on Twitter.
