The real-world has just collided with the virtual world in a mega-explosion of mapping. Ordnance Survey, Britain’s national mapping agency, has created a map of the UK in video game ‘Minecraft’.
The mappers used 83 billion blocks to create the virtual world, which includes roads, rivers and railways, and now they’ve unveiled London in a YouTube clip. In the video, the map’s creator Joseph Braybrook, gives us a tour down the River Thames from Gloucestershire to Southend-on-Sea.
