Wheelie good idea: Boris bikes to take over the Olympic Park

Boris bike extension

After a record-breaking cycle hire summer, eight new docking stations are about to grace the grounds and surrounding area of the Olympic Park, at the Aquatics Centre, the ArcelorMittal Orbit and the Lee Valley VeloPark. It’s part of an expansion to increase docking points all over London and more new sites will be added throughout 2015.
So you can be super healthy and cycle to the park, park up, have a workout and then cycle back. Or after your refreshing swim in the Olympic pool you can jump on a bike and reward yourself with a crispy pizza from Crate, which is so close it would be kinda rude not to.

But don’t rush out to Stratford just yet – work starts next year, with 320 new docking points set to be in place by 2016. Doh! All excited for nothing.
