Gear up for a weekend of full-fat fun with our pick of three of the best nightlife events and parties taking place over the next three days. If you’re gagging to play bingo, go raving and then gorge on street food and cocktails, you are very much in luck. But if not, just head to our Nightlife and Clubs page for more great options.
One brilliant head-fuck of a night that combines the pleasures of clubbing with a game of bingo-turned-stage show. There’ll be foul-mouthed number calling, prizes (which have previously included guitars, bikes and jukeboxes), glitter cannons and heaps of hedonistic energy. The events have exploded in popularity over the last fews, so you’ll have to be quick off the mark to get tickets, as they always sell out. Music could be anything from rock to ’90s jams to old-school garage to hip hop to ’80s cheese or maybe even a bit of… HOUSE!
More twentieth birthday fun from the Bugged Out crew. It’s a stormer, with ever-impressive musical encyclopaedia Andrew Weatherall leading the charge, plus a top cast of other DJs covering selected time periods with their sets: Brodinski spins tunes from 1997-2000, Erol Alkan takes 2000-2002, Justin Robertson hits 1999-2001. Fine stuff, as ever.
119 Wallis Rd, Hackney Wick
This prime pop-up is teeming with tasty street food, cocktails and a top roster of DJs supplying the beats. Feast yourself senseless on anything from grilled cheese sandwiches to fry-ups to waffles to curried mutton shepherd’s pie at one of the numerous food shacks, grab a cocktail from one of the bars or just dance on the decked dancefloor to some expertly spun soundtracks. Pop-up paradise!
