After a tremendously successful Kickstarter campaign, Viktor Wynd raised £16,090 of his £10,000 target and The Viktor Wynd Museum of Curiosities, Fine Art and Natural History is now officially open.

Be warned, there’s a lot of weird stuff in there, including the lady bits of an eighteenth-century prostitute and Chinese dildos, but if you’re proud to say ‘ooh wow’ rather than ‘eurgh, really’ then get yourself over there pronto.

Here are some pictures to give you a taste of what to expect…

If this is totally your bag, check out the ‘Viktor Wynd’s Cabinet of Wonders’ book (published by Prestel), which is full of fascinating photos and short tales. There’s even a directory with Viktor’s favourite places to collect so you know where to go for your own wacky wonders too.

The Viktor Wynd Museum of Curiosities, Fine Art and Natural History, 11 Mare Street, E8 4RP, open Wednesday-Sunday, 11am-10pm.
