High concept: London’s first drug magazine is Illegal

illegal magazine

You know when you see cheeky chappy homeless people whose cardboard signs say things like ‘Gimme £3 for booze and drugs (at least I’m honest!)’? Well, that idea is now available in magazine form. Illegal!, which has just launched in London, is a quarterly sold on the streets by the drug-dependent. It openly states that the seller is ‘more than likely’ to spend the £3.50 cover price on drugs. Illegal launched in Denmark a year ago, as a way for street users to have some kind of legal income. It remains to be seen if it can, er, crack London’s magazine market.
