There’s a mass face-sitting happening outside parliament to protest new porn legislations

Posted at 11:45 am, December 11, 2014 in News

If you were upset by the new UK porn legislations brought in by Parliament last week which ban ‘physical restraint’, potentially ‘life-threatening’ sex acts and ‘strong physical and verbal abuse’ and more from being shown in online porn films made in the UK, you may well want to head down to join the mass face-sitting (one of the forbidden acts) at the Old Palace Yard in Westminster on Friday December 12 at midday. Over 500 people are expected to turn up and simulate sex fully clothed outside Parliament to coincide with a debate of a motion put forward by Lib Dem MP Julian Huppert to annul the changes. If the motion isn’t dissolved, it would mean that spanking, ‘water sports’, physical restraint, face sitting and, errr, female ejaculation (!) would be banned from being depicted in UK porn. Don’t worry, filth hounds, you can still see all these things in porn made elsewhere!

The #PornProtest hopes to break the world record for face-sitting (although Guinness World Records have declined to record the event), but those who don’t feel like getting down and dirty are also very welcome as the face-sitting is just the, uh, climax of the protest. Charlotte Rose, who won Sex Worker of the Year in 2013 is organising the protest and said: ‘These laws are not only sexist but they taking away people’s choices without consent. Personal liberty is what we are fighting for on Friday which no one has the right to take away from somebody else.’

Jerry Barnett of the anti-censorship group Sex and Censorship told Vice: ‘There appear to be no rational explanations for most of the R18 rules. They’re simply a set of moral judgements designed by people who have struggled endlessly to stop the British people from watching pornography.’
