Whether you’re craving cheesy throwback pop, fit for frenzied punk or in need of being soothed in the middle of a forest, we’ve got just the ticket. Snap up these hot tatties quick and find a whole load more on our Just announced page.

Wu-Tang Clan

O2 Academy Brixton, Jun 4

Armed with a new album called ‘A Better Tomorrow’ – their first full-length in seven years – the impossibly influential Staten Island hip hop collective re-emerge. What with all the solo work by various Clansmen, especially GZA, Raekwon and Method Man, there’s been a lot of peripheral and fractured Wu activity over the years, so to have the entire original crew (except the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard, of course) back on stage will be a treat indeed – provided that they all actually turn up. There’ll be much muthafuckin’ noise when they drop bombs like ‘CREAM’ and ‘Protect Ya Neck’.

Five

O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, Apr 24

The Big Reunion happened, but no one really cared about all the other has-beens, did they? Okay, we’re biased, but surely everyone was out to see the four (they haven’t been five since 2000) London lads who were responsible for some of the best pop-meets-rap songs of the late-’90s? Especially after their failed come-back in 2006 due to a lack of label interest. Now, however, all of their original fans are old enough to buy tickets and the guys are milking it. They’ve already done the greatest hits tour and in 2015 they’re setting out for something ‘Loud and Intimate’.

gang of four

Gang Of Four

Oslo, Feb 28

Andy Gill and the chaps continue to tout their massively influential, angrily politicised punk-funk grind for balding fortysomethings and a fair few young ‘uns who weren’t even born when the impossibly excellent ‘Entertainment’ was released. They’ll be hammering out tracks from their new album ‘What Happens Next’.

patti-labelle

Patti Labelle & James Ingram

Wembley Arena, Mar 17

The original Lady Marmalade and Queen of Soul Food is stepping out with fellow retro R&B belter James Ingram for an arena-filling night of classics, including ‘If Only You Knew’ and ‘You Are My Friend’.

Tickets go on sale tomorrow at 9am

  tom odell

Tom Odell

Bedgebury Pinetum, Jun 19

This young Chichester singer-songwriter may not be popular with the NME crowd (they hilariously gave his debut album, ‘Long Way Down’, 0/10) but Odell’s delicate, impassioned, piano-led ballads are a hit with the rest of the public, who will undoubtedly remember his dulcet tones from the tearjerking 2014 John Lewis Christmas advert. Now he’s on a mission to save the trees of England by touring a bunch of forests, kicking off in Kent’s stunning Pinetum.
