Christmas is great and all, but a lot of us will secretly be counting down the hours until we’re allowed to sneak off and start partying proper once again. That time is Boxing Day and there are loads of great events taking place. Here’s our pick of December 26 partying:
Better than anything you gave or received at Christmas is the outstanding line-up at this party: Waze & Odyssey, Youngsta, Pinch, Novelist, Slimzee and more will work through dubstep, house, grime, garage and jungle. The perfect way to work off that third helping of Christmas pud.
Fabric. 11pm-7am. £14-£20.
Christmas is done with. What now? Dance like a trouper to some outstanding techno, house and garage at this mighty party from Manchester clubbing brand Sankeys. UK techno chief Perc, garage dude Mosca and South London Ordnance are some of the top names dishing out the goods.
Studio 338. 8pm-7am. £22.50.
A positively top box of party vibes is unwrapped at this Peckham-based bash, like a bonus crimbo prezzie you’d forgotten about. Bill Young, Crease Up and Keith Mac spin classic house jams and diamond disco cuts to an easygoing crowd.
Canavan’s Peckham Pool Club. 10pm-4am. £5, £3 before midnight.
You’re dead inside if you don’t love retro rave carnage, so party away Boxing Day at this old-school celebration. Matt ‘Jam’ Lamont and Pied Piper spin garage, house anthems, jungle and garage. Just breathe in that nostalgia.
Scala. 10pm-6am. £20.
The post-Christmas edition of this west London party will be bursting with fresh beats: DJ B, Snips and 7oel spin hip hop and R&B from across the years at a party where the good vibes are just as important as the tunes.
Notting Hill Arts Club. 8pm-2am. £5-£10.
