New Year’s Eve in London is a fabulous but often expensive and drunken affair, so to help us avoid a long, penniless walk back to our respective homes, TfL is providing free travel on the tube, tram, bus, DLR, and Overground. Yay!

Here’s the deal: travel on one of these services between 11.45pm on New Year’s Eve and 4.30am on New Year’s Day and your journey will be totally free

We definitely recommend checking your route in advance because there are bound to be changes to the service and probably last-minute transport updates.

Go to tfl.gov.uk for the full breakdown of services.

For more up-to-date info on tube, DLR and London Overground, services follow @TfLTravelAlerts on Twitter.
