Rhubarb at Sky Garden - Web

Yes Christmas is over but it’s not all doom and gloom. There’s plenty to look forward to this month. Our mates at LondOntheinside have rounded up five things they’re most excited about this month…

Sky Garden

‘There’s certainly a fair few decent restaurants in the London skies right now. The next one to open will be Sky Garden on level 37 of the infamous Walkie Talkie building, with city views, landscape gardens and food by Rhubarb. The only way is up, baby!’ Fenchurch Street, Jan 5

Boyfriend/Girlfriend Exchange

‘January is all about new things! New goals, new outlooks, new partner? Dating site DoingSomething is putting on a special boyfriend/girlfriend exchange party with a twist. The twist being it is held in a public toilet – talk about crap date! Don’t worry it’s actually now a cocktail bar so dig out your exes and get ready to swap. No car keys needed!’ Ladies and Gentlemen, Jan 15

Gone Camping by The Art of Dining

‘Camping in January? Are you mental, we hear you cry? Well fear not – this pop-up gives you everything you’d want from a summer camping trip. We’re talking posh Pot Noodles, BBQ, singalongs and toasted marshmallows. If this is glamping, we’re in!’ Jan 7–22

London Grind

‘Our fave coffee-shop-slash-cocktail-bar group is opening another site and this one has quite the address. Located in an old bank at 2 London Bridge you can expect the same edgy design, killer cocktails and strong espressos, only this one comes with proper food, too. And, if the stuff they serve in Holborn is anything to go by, it’ll be BANGING!’ London Bridge, late Jan

Budvar Tankove

‘We’re skint, you’re skint, everyone is so ruddy bloody skint this month. But at least there’s free beer on Tuesdays! At Budvar Tank Tuesdays, the first 100 people through the door get a FREE pint. CHEERS!’ Zigfrid von Underbelly, Hoxton Square, Jan 13
