Got a late night hunger? No problemo…

NORTH

MANGAL II

Mangal II has a cult-like following among the Stokey massive and will be busy this party season. Not only is the quality of the carved-off-the-rotating-spit lamb excellent, you can order it until 12.45am. 4 Stoke Newington Rd, N16 8BH. Dalston Kingsland Overground

EAST

LAHORE KEBAB HOUSE

Despite the name, this east London institution does more than kebabs: vibrant curries are just as brilliant. Open until 1.30am on Saturday nights; last orders 1am. 2-10 Umberston St, E1 1PY. Aldgate East or Whitechapel.

SOUTH

HIXTER BANKSIDE

Finding a post-midnight sit-down meal south of the river is a challenge. Hurrah, then, for Hixter – the spin-off of Shoreditch’s Tramshed – where you can order steaks, salads, and great-value chooks until the witching hour. 16 Great Guildford St, SE1 0HS. Borough, London Bridge or Southwark

WEST

V-Q

Formerly called Vingt-Quatre, this was Chelsea’s original 24-hour brasserie. It has a centre-of-town sibling but you can’t beat this branch for people-watching. 325 Fulham Rd, SW10 9QL. South Kensington then 414 bus.

CENTRAL

POLO 24

Open 24/7 all year round, this smart, retro-styled space, mixing Brit caff cooking with US diner fare, is a civilised haven for late-night City and Shoreditch types. 176 Bishopsgate, EC2M 4NQ. Liverpool St.
