Whatever your plans for this evening, STOP and make sure they involve passing by Trafalgar Square between 5pm and 8.30pm, where you’ll be in for a very colourful surprise. To celebrate Russell T Davies’ new Channel 4 TV shows ‘Cucumber’, ‘Banana’ and ‘Tofu’ which explores the LGBT life, they’ve commissioned interactive public art peeps Greyworld to create the UK’s first ever night rainbow!

They’re pumping an enormous amount of water up in the air, hitting it with a light and BOOM – a 30 x 15 metre-high freedom flag! Greyworld said: ‘We’d never seen a night rainbow before so we thought it would be lots of fun to try and make one’. And you can see just how much fun in this video, shot during a test run last night.

Enjoy! We reckon it’ll make you as happy as this guy.
