So you’ve got a sushi restaurant and you want to save a bit of cash on your signage. What to do? Have a sneaky tinker with an ex-bookshop’s logo, of course. The old Foyles building is now home to O Yes sushi restaurant, and to announce the fact that they’ve taken up residency by the side entrance, the raw fish enthusiasts have taken the letters spelling ‘Foyles’ and rearranged them into their own name. Were they already called O Yes and spotted the potential in the sign? Or is this a spot of brilliantly cheeky opportunism when it came to deciding their name? Dunno. But rival sushi purveyor Soy Elf must be absolutely gutted.
