So much is created using the latest technology these days that it’s a real treat to get something truly hand crafted. We love a piece of handmade jewellery, or a home-baked loaf of sourdough, so what about signs? Well there’s a new exhibition in town celebrating completely ludicrous products and services in the form of high quality signs, and it looks rather lovely.

Get ready for Business As Usual, an exhibition of high-quality, hand-painted signs which opens today!

Artists involved have been selected by Ged Palmer and directed by Liat Chen. Work being presented comes from Ash Bishop, Archie Proudfoot, Carl Fredrik AKA ‘Frisso’, Dapper Signs, Dry British, Fly of Fly Signs, Ged Palmer, Jack Hollands, Letterknight, Paul Mysercough, Peter Anthony, Von Leadfoot, and Tristan Kerr.

Signs on display have been rendered in enamel, metal, glass and even gold. The process is way more intricate than you’d expect and looks really interesting.

To celebrate the launch of the exhibition, artists involved will be producing a large mural on the windows of The Book Club, and their work will be shown at Stories, too.
