Nothing like a whisky with a bit of body to keep you company on February 14, eh? Bompas & Parr think so. At this intimate Valentine’s Day event, the mad food scientists are hosting a whisky-tasting where, instead of glasses, people drink booze from the belly-button, clavicle, armpit or random body cavity of a model the same age as the dram in question. Drinkers will be given hairnets and beard snoods, models ranging from 25 to 50 years old will tell them a ten-minute-long story about their life, and then it’s licking time. ‘We thought this was a great way to visualise the ageing process of these whiskies,’ explains Sam Bompas. ‘And at least you’re guaranteed to lick four strangers on Valentine’s Day.’ Distil our beating hearts.

Get tickets for Bompas & Parr’s Anatomical Whisky tasting. Or take a look at five of London’s quirkiest Valentine’s parties.
