See you can afford a house in London.

We’re no stranger to London’s bonkers property prices. There was the crazy £500,000 garage in Chelsea, £2.25 million for a car park, and now we’ve got another corker for you. Check out this £280,000 ‘detached house’.

The estate agent has done a great job of pitching it as a ‘bright and airy one bedroom detached house’ with a ‘front and rear garden’. Wow, you may think, that’s a steal. But the reason it has a front and a rear garden and is detached is because it is basically a pimped out shed, in a garden.

Okay okay we’ll stop being so harsh, the inside looks decent enough and the plot does come with full planning permission so you can do as you please. If you are genuinely interested, it’s in Brenchley Gardens in Forest Hill, so go have a snoop. No? No takers?
