Mmm, don’t you just love comfort food in the winter? Nothing beats a juicy burger served with lashings of special sauce in a fluffy bun. Er, how about a zebra burger though?

Viktor Wynd’s Museum of Curiosities in Hackney has just opened a new restaurant. And, as you can probably guess, the home of shrunken monkey heads and mummified skeletons hasn’t opted for menu of classic pub fare.

Their exotic game burgers are made in meats that ‘mirror’ the taxidermy on show, like zebra, camel, ostrich, kangaroo and wagyu beef. There are also some pretty intense cocktails on offer too, including ‘The Zombie’ which is made of dark rum, gold rum, falernum, absinthe, Cointreau, pineapple, lime, passion fruit and grenadine.

Visitors can even hire the whole museum for a luxury feast. Pheasant terrine, anyone?

Have you heard about the Porridge Cafe yet?
