wyles & simpson

Our mates at LondOntheInside have rounded up five things they’re pretty damn excited about this month.

Wyles & Simpson, St Pancras Old Church, March 5

‘This month we’re mostly listening to “Stormy Skies” by Wyles & Simpson. No, they’re not a detective duo, a lawyer practice or a gentleman’s outfitter but a sultry sounding duo who’ve got us excited about their show at St Pancras Old Church for the launch of their debut album. There couldn’t be a better choice of venue for their harmonised gospel vocals.’

Morada Brindisa Asador, Soho, March 7

‘The peeps behind Brindisa are opening a new joint in Soho and this one’s all about roasted meats. To celebrate the opening there’s 50 percent off food March 4-8. Booking essential, email: reservations@moradabrindisa.com. You can thank us later…’

FREE Burgers, Big Fernand, March 10-12

‘Who doesn’t like free burgers? Get down to French burger joint Big Fernand’s first UK site, don a striped shirt or a fake/real moustache et voila! Be quick, though, there’s only 100 per day for just three days. Tres bon, tres bon!’

shaun in the city

Shaun in The City, Across London, March 28

‘Last month we spotted Shaun the Sheep and his pal in China Town but now we hear there are 50 more coming to London. Located across the city, the sheep will be on show for two months before moving to Bristol and then being auctioned for charity. Whoever said counting sheep sent you to sleep clearly hasn’t met Shaun.’

Joe’s Southern Kitchen, Kentish Town, March 30

‘We’re huge fans of the fried chicken and the gooey corn spoon bread at Joe’s, which is why we were pretty excited when we found out there will soon be two. The newbie is in Kentish Town, set over two floors in what was once police cells, hence why they’ve named the bar Jail Bird.’
