First there was Cereal Killer Cafe on Brick Lane, then Belfast got a Crisp Sandwich Cafe. Now Kingston’s got a mash-up of the two.

The Cereal Bar on Fife Road opened last week and serves crisp sandwiches, cereal and milkshakes. (Oh, and it has a retro gaming night.) SO ZEITGEIST. Owner Ramon Mullan even claims he’s bought the UK’s total supply of Hershey’s Cookies ‘n’ Cream cereal.

Ramon says the venue is aimed at students, with a small bowl of cereal starting at £2.70 and a large bowl (which comes in a glass mixing bowl) costing £6. He says: ‘I really like Cereal Killer Cafe and have been there five or six times. But my prices are cheaper and we do milkshakes and crisps.’ Fighting talk.

BTW, a Porridge Cafe opened in Shoreditch this week too!
