If you’re happy and you know it, you’re probably in London’s new ‘happy café’.

It’s quite sad to hear that only 30 percent of us Londoners rated ourselves as ‘very happy’ in 2013/2014. So, news of a ‘happy café’ has put a big smile on our faces.

But what the heck is so damn happy about this here café? Well, The Canvas Café and Creative Venue is planning to hold daily events to encourage positive thinking and inspire self-expression. There will be relaxation workshops, body confidence classes and a drop-in choir on offer to visitors, as well as the chance to write your own personal positive message onto the canvas walls.

There will be weekly lunchtime yoga sessions on Wednesdays to help you lunge over that hump day, free weekend documentary screenings on happiness and well-being, a free ‘Happiness Boosters’ workshop run by charity Inner Space and an eight-week course in happiness.

It opened this week on Hanbury Street in Shoreditch, so pop in to clear your mind of work doom and gloom and maybe pick up a few of those pastries while you’re at it. Because who isn’t happy when they’re munching on a buttery croissant?
