Like your beauty salons to be pink, kitschy and peppier than a cheerleading convention? Head to Soho’s Greek Street, where retro-tinged beauty brand Benefit has set up its latest pop-up shop.

As you’d expect, the Curl’s Best Friend parlour is an unashamedly ‘girly’ affair, so brace yourself for a heavy dose of saccharine: if Barbie and Lady Penelope joined together to crack the beauty business, the result would probably look a lot like this triple-decker salon. Downstairs, you can play around with Benefit’s latest release, the Roller Lash mascara (trust us, it’s actually pretty good) or snap up some cakes and cocktails. The first floor is home to a hair and beauty pit-stop, with faux-blows (a quicker, wash-free blow dry, £15), free makeovers and brow treatments (from £11) all on offer. Finally, the top storey hosts the Noir Bar, where you can sip on something stronger from 7pm onwards. Perfect for spring preening.

Benefit Curl’s Best Friend Pop-Up Parlour is open until end of March, Tue–Sat 11am–11pm (bar 7pm–11pm). To book call 020 3620 4747.
