Close your eyes and make a wish. Was it for someone to stick anti-UKIP posters all over London? Well, your dream’s just come true.
It’s all thanks to an app called Crowdwish. Users anonymously upload their ‘wishes’ to it, and if they’re popular they’re made into a reality. CEO Bill Griffin explains: ‘The idea is you take something ephemeral like a hope or wish or aspiration and turn it into something concrete.’
The team have previously given out daffodils around the city and helped users get jobs, but this time round they answered the wish: ‘I wish Nigel Farage would just give it up.’
In response, they stuck posters around London mocking UKIP’s ‘crazy’ policies. Bill says they’ve now been sent ‘well over 100’ emails from people wanting their own copies.
