It’s is a big year for Twin Peaks fans: not only does 2015 mark the twenty-fifth anniversary of the show’s first broadcast, but this summer will also see new episodes going into production for the first time since 1992, under the direction of surrealist mastermind David Lynch. And now there’s one more thing to get excited about: in its sixth year, London’s own Twin Peaks UK Festival will for the first time be a weekend event, with two days of screenings, signings, parties, performance, music, dress-up, donuts, damn fine coffee and more series cast members than ever before.
Returning to the Genesis Cinema in Whitechapel on the weekend of October 3-4, the festival has only confirmed two special guests so far: the glorious Madchen Amick, aka Shelly Johnson, diner waitress and friend to the deaf, and the redoubtable Wendy Robie, who played Nadine Hurley, she of the eyepatch and the silent drape runners. But thanks to our close relationship with the festival team we’ve had a sneak peak at some of the other names on the guest list, and you can take our word that Peaks geeks will not be disappointed when the full lineup is revealed.
VIP tickets for the festival are almost sold out, but you can grab standard day or weekend passes by heading to www.twinpeaksukfestival.com.
