What do you normally bring home with you after a Big Night Out? Chips and a kebab? Someone hot? How about a ceramic design, handmade by an up-and-coming London artist?
Hackney bar and restaurant Rita’s has teamed up with art agency Beach to put on a monthly series of nights that combine art and cocktails in the best possible way. At ‘Rita’s on the Beach’, guests will be treated to a tequila mixer – designed by a London artist – before getting to take home the limited edition glass it came in. It’s sounds like the perfect way to support local art talent while getting a bit buzzy.
The first event is this Saturday, with Camberwell ceramics-supremo Charlotte Mei taking the reigns. Charlotte makes super-cute and super-modern illustrated ceramics. She’s the brains behind this plate shaped like a love-sick piece of toast, and works usually cost between £40 and £200.
Tickets cost £30, and you can buy them here.
