UPDATE: LONDON FIELDS BREWERY HAS SINCE REOPENED! woop!

Okay, let’s start with The Bad News

Bearded men with too much disposable income are hopping mad this week after the sudden closure of London Fields Brewery. The axe has fallen on workers at the craft beer making site in Hackney with brewing operations now farmed out to the shires. Boo! Why? Because of the dodgy tax affairs of owner Jules de Vere Whiteway-Wilkinson, who’s gone from double-barrelled to no bloody barrels at all.

And now for The Good News

Bearded men with too much disposable income are cocka-hoop this week at news that Camden Town Brewery has raised enough money through crowdfunding to build a second branch. A grand total of £1.65 million was raised on Crowdcube as part of the brewer’s Hells Raiser campaign – and all because we featured it in Time Out last month! No, really! Have a drink on us. You just have to pay for it yourself.

Love beer? Here’s where to drink London’s best craft beers.
