What was that? A bit of sun? Quick! Let’s put on ALL the Lycra and get our bikes out. If you find you have a few spare clogging up your corridor, The Bike Project need your help.
They are a community of refugees and volunteers who revamp donated bikes and give them to refugees. As well as holding bike maintenance workshops, teaching refugees skills and forming a support network, they also run a project that teaches refugee women to ride. But they’re running desperately low on bikes and are asking for donations in any condition. There are a number of drop-off hubs around London so now’s the time for a spring clear out.
