Good news street food fans, the mother of all transient edible pop-ups, aka Street Feast, has just announced their summer plans – and they are BIG! Not only will they be dishing up grub back at Dalston Yard, this year they’re expanding their repertoirewith a new event called Dinerama in Shoreditch. Full details are yet to be released but we wanted to bring you the news as soon as possible.
So here’s what we know so far:
➪ It’s going to take place in Shoreditch Yard (what’s with all the ‘yards’ guys?!) on Great Eastern Street, opposite Village Underground. From the photo above it looks like a prison yard, but we’re sure that’ll change.
➪ It’s going to be huge – the venue can hold 1,000 people. This is the second largest licensed venue in Hackney (the first is their other spot – Dalston Yard. Nice work guys).
➪ Unlike the other Street Feasts which are only open on the weekends, this one will be open five days a week with six permanent diners, six food shacks and six concept bars. There will be seats, a mezzanine and some more treats which they are keeping schtum about for now. The Dalstonist mentioned in their blog that there would be a ‘four-storey tower in the centre of the site so you can head to the upper levels and watch the scenes unfold below’ and a ‘tequila container’, which both sound pretty awesome to us.
➪ The list of traders is yet to be announced but they’ve hinted that Smokestak, B.O.B.’s Lobster, Baba G’s, Fundi Pizza and Duck n’ Roll will be making an appearance.
➪ It’s opening at the end of May. Boom. Mic dropped.
