TRAX Stories

If you spent hours perfecting your trigger finger and nailing the corners on your Scalextric track as a kid, this is your time to shine. TRAX is a new bi-weekly event at Stories on Broadway Market that revels in the traditionally frowned-upon combo of drinking and driving.

You and a team of mates can compete in racing rounds throughout the night in the hope of being crowned speed kings and queens of the plastic tracks. There’s plenty of prizes to be had for winners (and losers) as well as for the best designs – for those who’ve paid a visit to TRAX’s custom shop. And if you crash and burn early on in the night, there’s retro arcade machines and side games to keep you entertained and help you to perfect your slot-car skills for next time.

The first TRAX slot-car racing night will take place on May 19, to coincide with the Monaco Grand Prix. Tickets for a team of four are £20 in advance and £24 on the door. A refundable deposit is paid for cars at the beginning of the night. Get tickets here or pop into Stories.

Big kid? You’ll also want to check out this cool ball pit.

And you’ll probably want to know about the massive slides coming to the South Bank.
