One month ago London’s beloved Battersea Arts Centre went up in flames, gutting a third of the once stunning venue. Now, as the BAC crew painstakingly put the pieces back together, the Southbank Centre is offering a helping hand by hosting one helluva fundraiser.

The Phoenix Fundraiser takes place this Saturday at Royal Festival Hall and features an excellent line-up of comedy, music and theatre. Especially exciting is the return of Mackenzie Crook, who’ll be doing his first live comedy set in over a decade. The part-time pirate and ‘The Office’ star will be joined by his-and-hers comedy couple Stewart Lee and Bridget Christie, legendary grump Arthur Smith and joshing poet Tim Key. Plus, theatrical performances from Toby Jones, Lemn Sissay and Forced Entertainment, and music from the BAC Beatbox Academy and Kneehigh Band.

If you can’t make it down, you can still donate and follow their progress on Twitter @battersea_arts.
