It’s been a year since Brockley’s Bob Marley mural was removed to make way for a new housing development. Now, fans in the area are campaigning to to bring Bob back.

Brockley Street Art Festival is trying to raise £5,000 to pay for a new mural to be painted on the wall of local Wetherspoon’s The Brockley Barge. The money will pay for artist Dale Grimshaw to work his magic on the brickwork, as well as some other planned murals.

There’s been a Marley mural in the borough for 40 years, so it’s hoped the new painting will be complete as soon as possible. It will be unveiled during Brockley Street Art Festival, which runs from May 29 to June 6.
