There’s no excuse for unwanted sexual behaviour on public transport (or ever!) – and yet, a 2013 survey showed that one in ten Londoners had experienced it on buses, tubes and trains. Thankfully, Transport for London’s ‘Project Guardian’ is kicking into gear today with a new ‘Report It To Stop It’ campaign.

Launched in 2013, ‘Project Guardian’ has already led to TfL staff getting extra training to deal with sexual offences as well as more police patrols on the London Underground. It’s the work of the British Transport Police, Metropolitan Police, City of London Police and Transport for London.

Now a film showing a woman’s experience of escalating unwanted sexual behaviour has been released. Viewers are encouraged to interact with the film by deciding at which point they would report it. It’s hoped that it will encourage people to report all behaviour that makes them feel uncomfortable so that police can take action.

If you ever experience unwanted sexual behaviour you can report it by texting 61016.

There’s also a Tumblr you should check out.
