Last year, the folks behind Street Feast in Dalston expanded south of the river, setting up shop in an abandoned 1950s market in Lewisham. This year, they’re back for round two with an excellent line-up of street food and booze.
From April 17 to October 3, Model Market will be bringing you a whole host of tasty treats from traders including Yum Bun, Mama’s Jerk Station, Smokestak, Mother Flipper, Spit & Roast and Bill or Beak. Grab yourself a naan roll from Street Feast veterans Rola Wala or a cheeky steak sandwich from newcomer The Beefsteaks.
Once you’ve stuffed your face, wash it all down at one of the market’s five bars. Highlights include grown-up slushies at Slushy Bar, a new rooftop beer and tequila bar – the Lewisham High Line, and record shop slash wine bar Winyl.
From this weekend, Model Market will open every Friday and Saturday, 5pm–1am. It’s £3 entry after 7pm, or you can get down early to get in for free before then.
