London Dock is about to get a Wapping arts boost

London Dock - Pennington Street Warehouse

The building formerly known as Fortress Wapping – Rupert Murdoch’s News International printworks – is to be turned into an artists’ quarter. The Grade II-listed Regency warehouse in Pennington Street, E1, which is just a few minutes’ walk from the Tower of London, will soon be home to 90 affordable studios alongside shops, restaurants, galleries and offices. Wannabe Hirsts and Emins can also take up training opportunities as part of an education programme run by Bow Arts Trust – presumably replacing former courses in phone hacking and further phone hacking.

Find more things to do in Wapping.
