Heading to Wimbledon this year? Better find a new way to take that courtside snap of you and your Pimm’s because The All England Lawn Tennis Club is the latest venue to ban selfie sticks. The official reason? Because no one likes selfie sticks. Or, as they put it – because of ‘nuisance value’ and so that it ‘doesn’t interfere with spectators’ enjoyment’. It follows in the footsteps of other places that have banned the selfie stick, including Tottenham Hotspur’s football ground and the National Gallery. If you’re still desperate to take that Instagram-worthy selfie then you’ll just have to make do with the old fashioned ‘long arm’ approach. Or you could just, y’know, watch the tennis.
